When I think about the top apps on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, I tend think of "Clash of Clans", "Clash Royale", "Pokemon Go", the micro-transaction laden "Game of War", or "Minecraft". I knew nothing about "8 Ball Pool" and not much more about its developer, Miniclip.
It was a total surprise for me then to see "8 Ball Pool" and Miniclip not only in the top app charts but for them to be at the top of those charts. Until now I can't comprehend how a billiards game can attract so many players.
It seems that virtual billiards is so popular now, people spend money to keep playing "8 Ball Pool". The billiards game is now one of the top grossing apps on mobile app stores.
