The aim of this blog is to collect and archive my selected thoughts, ideas, feelings, reactions, and opinions on subject matters that pique my interest. These entries represent initial drafts that may contain grammatical and spelling errors and whose substance and position could still change, and which, at some point, I could decide to put together into in-depth articles that will be posted on the main Saved Content and Poverty Sucks sites.

Official Free Release of 'Starcraft' was Revealed Last Month by Blizzard

Last month, Blizzard announced a new update 1.18 coming out for "Starcraft: Brood War".  It was the first news of an update for the classic game in 8 years.  The more significant tidbit that was revealed in the patch notes for the update, was that the game was going to be free.

Even though there was proof that Blizzard was going to make the original "Starcraft" free, it was still hard to believe the news.  When the update officially released, Blizzard delivered exactly as it had promised. stating in the official patch notes that game was free and the company provided download links for the installation files for the game.
